Hi! My name is Niña, I’ve been a Transaction Coordinator with the Vaz+Harwood Team for 2 years now. Allow me to share our homeownership journey with you.
Since I was a kid, I’ve always dreamed of having our own house, as we never had one growing up. When I started working, this dream of mine started to fade away when we were declined for a housing loan. It was disappointing and sad to know that we are not financially qualified to buy a home. So we instead rented for over a decade as a couple while trying to save up.
When the pandemic struck, we then decided to live together with my husband’s parents in their province when we were given the opportunity to work from home. We felt pretty comfortable living with them, and were blinded by how comfortable life can be when we just live with our parents, experiencing how things are handled in their own way, and we just blended in, not worrying about anything at home.
But God has His purpose, and the pandemic was a blessing in disguise for us as I found my second family with the Vaz+Harwood Team!
The more I worked with the Team, the more we handled buying and selling consultations, and the more I realized that owning a home is a necessity. My experience re-fueled my dream of wanting a home to call our own. Working as a Virtual TC for the Vaz+Harwood Team also empowered us with the financial freedom to qualify for a housing loan.
And so it happened – we bought our home. Amidst the pandemic crisis, we made it!

Owning our first home is the best feeling ever! It can’t be described in words. It can’t be quantified in money. Homeownership is a feeling that makes life’s grind worth facing. It reassures you that with all the ups and downs, you have a place to go to… a place that’ll never judge you and always invite you with open arms.
